The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually entered sharp focus.
In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
